Rosie Perez is an American actor, activist for the community and talk show host with the net worth of around $12 million. Rosie Perez, in addition to her acting career, is a choreographer. She choreographed concerts and music video for Janet Jackson and Bobby Brown and also her role as one of the Fly Girls in the series "In Living Color". The career of Rosie Perez began by being spotted at a Los Angeles dance class by Spike Lee. She was cast as Tina in the movie "Do The Right Thing" when they came into contact. Her subsequent roles included in a string of well-received films throughout the 90s, which included "Night in the Middle of the Earth", "White Men Can't Jump", "Untamed Heart", "It Could Happen to You", "Perdita Durango" along with "Fearless" in which she was awarded the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.Rosie Perez was born in 1964 in Brooklyn the NY's Bushwick neighborhood. Parents, Lydia and Ismael, were immigrants of the first generation from Puerto Rico. Including five children her mother was married to before, Perez is one of the ten siblings. Her mother was being in and out of prison regularly as well as gave birth to the youngest of her children while in prison. In the end, Perez was temporarily cared for by her aunt and was placed in foster care and groups homes, separated from her siblings. Her father unsuccessfully tried to take control of her.
